Conformance Standard
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Our website includes the following accessibility features:
Telehealth Accessibility
For telehealth visits, we offer:
- Closed captioning available upon request
- Sign language interpreter services available with advance notice (contact us to arrange)
- Language interpretation in Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, and many other languages via phone interpreter services
- Audio-only visits available if video is not accessible
- Extended visit time for patients who need more time to communicate
- Visit summaries available in large print or accessible PDF format upon request
Language Access (Title VI)
In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, we provide language assistance services at no cost to patients with limited English proficiency. Available languages include:
- Spoken directly by Dr. Patel: English, Hindi, Gujarati
- Via phone interpreter: Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, and 200+ additional languages
Please let us know in advance if you need interpreter services so we can arrange them.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not be fully accessible:
- Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We can provide alternative formats upon request.
- Third-party services (such as athenahealth's patient portal) have their own accessibility features and limitations.
- Some older content may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards — we are working to update it.
